Plant EssentialsFertilizer/ feed for the plant:Feed your bamboo palm a well balanced fertiliser in summers. This will help the plant grow better. Use a fertiliser rich in nitrogen to encourage lush green growth. Repotting : Repot your palm only when the pot is filled with roots and there isn’t enough space for the plant to grow. Choose a pot one size bigger than the current pot when repotting. Propogation : Propagating a Bamboo palm is tricky. Bamboo Palm can be propagated from seeds. Bamboo palms can also be propagated by offshoots that grow on mature parent plants. |
Common Problems1. Bamboo palm leaves are turning yellow. If the fronds of your bamboo palm are turning yellow throughout, it is due to over-watering. Water your plant less frequently. Let the top 1/3rd inch of the soil dry out in between waterings. 2. Why are my bamboo palm leaves drooping downwards? Too much water coupled with not enough drainage can make the leaves of your bamboo palm droop downwards. Water your plant less frequently.
